Bursters is a series focused on a VR fighting game, where each player’s character is born out of their truest self. Their hopes, dreams, fears, and traumas. The core of their identity so to speak. The game follows a zero sum design philosophy, meaning that in order for any of them to progress, they have to step on one another. The series explores how the game’s impact on their social lives, the reality of being forced to share your truest self with the world, the consequences of having a core that’s best left hidden, and how this can be drastically different when explored from various perspectives.
