Abstraction
My abstraction work was born out of a desire to make something neat, fast, and without too much planning. Some of them have more of an idea behind them than others, but mostly I just pick out the colors I want to work with, then just get going with these. I’ve also discovered that these designs are very versatile and work well among a variety of print sizes and formats like bookmarks.
Among my more objective pieces, I’ve found that they’re still suitable to having their sizes altered, as they’re still full bleed pieces, but less so than my other more abstract work. Unfortunately, I have also noticed that the more objective a piece is, the more reliant its presentation is on a specific orientation. Something I like about the more abstract work is that it works equally well as a horizontal or vertical composition.
